Siyu Han expressed her interest in sound recording and design since 2012 where she produced her first short film, Unbelievable Meeting. While studying at the University of Toronto, she had an opportunity to study film sound theory which broadened her knowledge and helped her discover the enormous possibilities, functions and influences of sound that makes audial sensory as equally important as visual. 

With a desire to explore more practical opportunities and receive systematic training, she furthered her study at Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART) with a diploma.  From 2018 onward, Siyu has been involved in multiple film productions as boom operator & sound recordist to express her love for story telling, filmmaking and adventure.
